Back-to-School Message 2022
Old Kings Elementary School

Welcome Owls to the 2022–23 school year. I hope each of you are enjoying your last days of summer. I am so excited that you are a part of our school community. I look forward to partnering with you as we work toward a common goal of a successful school year. Please review the following information to assist you in your preparation for the start of school.

Meet the Teacher: Tuesday, August 9th from 1:00–3:00pm.
Families will be able to view your child’s teacher on Skyward starting August 8th. Please view the Meet the Teacher News Story to learn more about this event.

Walk Your Owl to Class: Parents/guardians can walk their child(ren) to class on Wednesday, August 10th through Friday, August 12th. Gates will open at 8:50 am and close at 9:10 am. It is important that instruction begin promptly, thus all families will be dismissed from campus at 9:10am.

Parents/guardians will only be allowed into the classrooms to drop their child off. All other areas (cafeteria, media center, gymnasium, etc.) will not be open to families for safety and security purposes. Parking will be limited and difficult, so please plan accordingly. Please view the Walk Your Owl to Class News Story to learn more about this event.

Communication is extremely important to us at Old Kings. Please continue to view our “Weekly Update” videos sent through a robo email every Friday at 5:00 pm. These video are also posted on our website. You can also follow us on Facebook or Twitter @OKESowls. Additionally, I encourage you to become active members in our SAC (School Advisory Committee) and/or our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), which you will hear more about in the upcoming days.

Finally, please review the documents linked below for important information for the start of this school year.
